The fifth room of 'Thirst Exhibition' is an installation titled "Thirst is necessary". The 10 meter-long audiovisuals use the metaphoric visual language of prehistoric cave paintings.
The motion graphics use a system of illustrations all connected together by a system of roots, causes and effect, depicting the natural world and man’s relationship with water. The looping, minute-long animation is a journey trough time and space, illustrating the necessity of water and its importance throughout human history.
The projection is synchronized with an installation on the ceiling of the room that releases every minute a small cloud of ionized water that irrigates plants and grass growing on 'mini-hills'.

The La Sed (Thirst) Pavilion was designed by architect Enric Ruiz Geli and the exhibition space was designed by industrial designer Martin Azúa. The Thirst pavilion consists of five rooms, with four audiovisual installations and one audio,
Expo 2008 (International Expo), takes as its theme the natural resource most affected by climate change. Water and Sustainable Development kicked off on June 14 in Zaragoza, Spain. Encompassing more than 60 acres along the Ebro River, the expo is true to its theme—all of its facilities are powered by renewable energy sources.
